Fishtail are a highly versatile soul, jazz and blues trio consisting of Cath Coombs (vocals), Pete Newman (clarinet, contra-alto clarinet) and Phil Stevenson (guitar). As comfortable covering Nina Simone as Aretha Franklin, and with further influences in funk, African and South American styles, Fishtail can provide subtle background jazz or up-front high energy grooves for dancing.........

Although Fishtail is a new group for 2006, the 3 musicians have worked together in a wide variety of bands for many years and have toured extensively throughout Europe and North America. Cath Coombs and Pete Newman can also be found in the full scale soul band ‘Cath Coombs and the Awesome Soul Collective’ (also represented by the Xanadu Entertainment Agency).

Fishtail can visit venues throughout the Cambridgeshire region.
